3-Step System - Complete Care

ORAL HYGIENE IS CORRECT IF IT IS COMPLETE

To play a preventive role, oral hygiene must be precise and complete. That is, it must remove food residue and bacterial plaque not just from the surface of the teeth, but also from the spaces between the teeth and from the gumline.
To help keep teeth and gums free from plaque and other bacteria, it is important to brush and floss daily as well as to practice other custom care steps, including visiting your dentist regularly. This 3-Step™ approach facilitates better oral health through education and customization.

Step 1 - Brush

Step-1Brushing alone is not enough because it only removes up to 50% plaque.
The toothbrush is a fundamentally important instrument for oral hygiene; the better its characteristics are, the more effective it is at removing plaque. Almost everyone brushes their teeth every day, but despite this, 3 out of 4 adults suffer from gum disease during their lifetimes… WHY?
Toothbrushing alone is not sufficient for achieving complete oral hygiene. You should know, in fact, that it represents only the first phase of complete oral hygiene.

Step 2- Floss

Step-2Flossing keeps gums healthy and reduces plaque below the gumline. Brushing and flossing remove up to 70% of plaque. The combined use of a toothbrush and dental floss is a considerable improvement. To remove food residue and bacteria that accumulate in areas where it is impossible for the toothbrush to reach, it is fundamentally important to use dental floss: only in this way is it possible to reach the spaces between the teeth and under the gumline.

Step 3 – Custom Care

Step-3For optimal gum health, brush, floss and consult your dental professional to customise your personal oral-care routine. Toothbrushing and dental floss alone are not sufficient for achieving complete oral hygiene. Just as there are different types of skin or hair, also oral cavities are different and require specialized attention. For optimal care of your gums, consult your dentist for advice on specialized products for personalizing your daily oral hygiene regimen, such as interdental systems, toothpastes, and oral rinses.
